Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the LinguoSphère platform, operated by LinguoSphère Inc. ("LinguoSphère", "we"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Service description

LinguoSphère is an AI-assisted speaking-practice platform. The service is available on desktop and mobile devices and is intended for learners, professionals, businesses, institutions and training providers. It relies on scenes and simulations adapted to a variety of professional and personal contexts, in several languages. An optional virtual reality experience may be offered when compatible equipment is available.

LinguoSphère does not issue any official language certification, and the reports produced do not constitute a regulated assessment of language skills.

3. Eligibility and accounts

The service is reserved for adults (18 years and older). You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential and inform us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Access provided by an organization

Some accounts may be provided or funded by an employer, institution, training provider or partner. Information shared with the relevant organization is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions, licenses and payments

Access options (trial, individual subscriptions, organization licenses, any credits) and applicable prices are presented at the time of purchase. [To confirm: detailed offer, billing currency, price-change notice.]

6. Renewal, cancellation and termination

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use the platform in compliance with applicable laws and not to: circumvent security measures, transmit unlawful, harassing, discriminatory or infringing content, or attempt to scrape content or disrupt the service.

8. User-created scenes and content

When you create a scene or submit content, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and agree that LinguoSphère may process it in order to provide the service. You remain responsible for the content you submit.

9. Intellectual property

The platform, its interfaces, editorial content and software components remain the property of LinguoSphère or its licensors. No rights are granted beyond a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the service.

10. Artificial intelligence and limitations of results

Scenes, responses and feedback produced with AI assistance are intended to support practice and learning. They may contain errors or limitations, do not constitute legal, medical, professional or regulatory advice, and do not constitute an official assessment or language certification.

11. Personal data

Processing of your personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Optional virtual reality

VR access is optional and requires compatible equipment not provided by LinguoSphère. You are responsible for using this equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, in a safe environment and taking your physical condition into account.

13. Availability and evolution of the service

LinguoSphère may evolve, correct or temporarily suspend all or part of the service for operational, technical or security reasons. No specific availability rate is guaranteed by these Terms.

14. Third-party services

The service may rely on technical providers (hosting, AI, payment, email, etc.). The categories of providers are described in the Privacy Policy. [To confirm: exact list of active providers.]

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, LinguoSphère is not liable for indirect damages or for loss of data, opportunities or revenue related to use of the service. Mandatory consumer rights, notably under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, are not limited.

16. Account suspension and closure

LinguoSphère may suspend or close an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, abuse or a legal obligation. You may close your account at any time.

17. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec (Canada). The competent courts of the judicial district of Montreal are designated, subject to mandatory consumer rules.

18. Changes to the Terms

LinguoSphère may update these Terms. Significant changes will be brought to your attention by a reasonable means before they take effect.
